About
Heled – Educational Programs – "Train up a child in the way he should go" (Proverbs 22:6), is an entrepreneurial organization, providing an up-to-date response to the current challenges in the field of Jewish-Israeli identity and culture – in training, guidance, and support of educational teams and through the development and implementation of various programs for the state sector.
"Heled" develops a variety of educational content, experiential activities, textbooks, and teacher training, which are successful and reputable among principals, teachers, and students alike.
We strive for participants in our activities to feel 'at home' in this culture and therefore develop innovative and experiential teaching methods, accessible and relevant content – all from a pluralistic and inclusive approach.
The organization is supervised and approved by the Ministry of Education, has won a considerable number of tenders, and has expanding scopes of activity from year to year.
Content Development
Heled's Development Department specializes in creating content for the organization's activities and offers services to external organizations seeking professional development, which includes developing textbooks approved by the Textbook Division, teaching units across various subjects, and content for training courses and seminars for educational staff.
Experiential Activities
Heled's school activities focus on ethical and social themes, the cycle of the year, life cycle, and more, aiming to provide a complementary experience to the standard school curriculum. The program utilizes a variety of modern methods, including interactive games, floor games, escape rooms, creative workshops, puppet theater, and more.
Textbooks
Heled's Jewish-Israeli Culture textbooks are designed to help children feel a sense of belonging to their culture and heritage, encouraging them to be active participants and creators within it. These textbooks, intended for grades 3-6, are approved by the Textbook Division of the Ministry of Education.
Professional Development
Heled provides empowerment programs for teaching and management staff in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Training Division. These programs are customized for school principals, management teams, and educators. Our flagship leadership program, “El Borot Hamayim – To the Waterholes,” emphasizes identity, belonging, and inspiration, specifically catering to management teams and teaching staff.
National Centers
Heled operates five branches across Israel, delivering its experiential programs to 50 schools on a regular basis.
